What is Kalimpong Walks?

KALIMPONG WALKS is a walk and a guide program to showcase the true beauty and vast history that this little town has to offer. Kalimpong is a town that was the home of the shy tribe of Lepchas, witnessed the coming of Tibetans and Buddhists and along that Buddhism, a base for the Lhasa Newar traders who followed the silk route to trade with Lhasa and finally the summer camp for Britishers who in turn invited Nepalis to work in various sectors.

With such an interesting back drop, we decided to bring this very side into focus and show to the tourists and locals what they can learn about Kalimpong.

So its time now to move beyond ususal toursit spots and delve deeper into the history with Kalimpong Walks.

Keeping this in mind, we have introduced 4 kinds of walk programs each covering various interesting places as you will see on this site. The walks are undertaken by our trained team of guides who are fluent in English and Hindi.

THE MORNING WALK, THE COMPREHENSIVE INSIGHT, THE EVENING WALK AND MORNING TO DUSK - are the packages that we offer. All walks are easily completed in 1 day as the area coverage is within Kalimpong. If you have your own vehicle, the outskirts can also be covered.

Apart from these walk program, we also provide guide services if you simply want to take him or her for a day to explore the town yourself.
